A Super (hero) Project!

As we potter about our unit up here in Darwen, we often wonder what weird and wonderful projects our wood dye / stain is being used for. This is why we love it when people like Alex from The Sidney Edgar Workshop get in touch.

Alex had recently ordered some of our English Oak and has used it brilliantly to finish the top of a bar in what we would describe as the ultimate 'man cave'. One of his customers, a fan of Marvel comics, has converted a room in his house into something of a shrine to superheroes, complete with plasma TV on the wall and a bar! Check it out:

How cool is that?! Taking a closer look at the bar, this is what he started with:

As he didn't have timber long enough, this was planed, glued and clamped so that he could produce this:

Now, I don't know about you, but we absolutely love this! This really is a fine example of expert joinery, and it's an absolute pleasure to know that one of our products has contributed to this work.
